100th Day of School

I feel so sad to be missing out on such fun activities at school.   I have been able to face time with my class three or four times so that has been fun (and it just makes me miss them even more!)

Today they celebrated the 100th day of school with some fun activities.  The best part was Miss Bowling found an app that allows you to take a picture of a child and it "ages" them so they could see what they might look like when they are 100 years old!  Check out these cute, old people! (We even got a sneak peak at Mrs. Klinginsmith and Ms. Inskeep).

A Long Overdue Thank You

It seems these last few weeks have gone by quickly!  When school let out for winter break, I was frantically trying to get some last minute shopping done before my surgery.  Then I had surgery and for the next two weeks I was pretty much in bed, with foot propped up, and in some pain so I didn't do much.  I have many overdue thank you cards for all of the wonderful gifts I received.  I wanted to take a moment to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who donated to my gift card from my class.  It might be one of my favorite class gifts yet!  Unfortunately I have not had a chance to go shopping yet, but plan to do that soon.  I have such an amazing group of kids and families this year.  Thanks for all you do!  I am ready to be back into my normal routine next week!

Canned Food Drive

We are part of the 100 Can Club. We currently have 178 cans of food!  Our class got to sing the Canned Food Theme Song today on announcements.  Ask your child to sing it for you!  Keep those cans coming.  I think we are far from being the class with the most cans but the more we bring the more people we can help.  Thanks to everyone who has already brought in 10 or more cans.
Check us out in the principal's office singing on announcements.

Snowmen at Night

Our finished product!

Fun Friday!

We had an AMAZING day in Room 4!  We have been working on getting some new stuff on our bulletin boards.  This week we read The Biggest Best Snowman by Margery Cuyler.   The kids had to use transition words to write how to build a snowman.  Be sure to check out our cute bulletin board with their writing and their snowmen.

Today we read What Do Snowmen Do At Night?  by Caralyn Buehner.  Such a cute story!  We are working on writing with a topic sentence, 3 or more details, and a closing sentence.  I asked the kids, "If you had a snowman, what do you think it would do at night?"  We have some creative writers in here.  They also had fun creating a very cute torn paper snowman.  Such a fun morning!

Office Schoeff Visit

Today Officer Schoeff made another visit to talk about staying safe.  Rob did a great job being a helper!
